Like father like son with Spanish golfing hero Ignacio Garrido
The oldest among us will certainly remember Ignacio Garrido the son of Antonio Garrido who was one of the first non Anglo-Saxon along with Seve Ballesteros to participate in the Ryder Cup, and a few years later Ignacio was a member of this prestigious elite of professional European golfers as well. Nowadays he teaches golfers of all abilities and he is renowned for bringing to light European Touring professional Adri Arnaus Antúnez.
How many of us can enjoy a round of golf along with his father or mother? A few will be my guess, now how many has done that at the highest level of professional golf? A few a very few that is. So one father and son golfing relationship that will forever remain in the professional golfing history will be the one of Ignacio Garrido the son of Antonio Garrido, so when the occasion presented itself during the Omega Masters in Crans Montana to interview Ignacio I deliberately obliged.
Nowadays he teaches golfers of all abilities in his Academy with a focus on his junior program and he is renowned for helping European Teaching professional Adri Arnaus Antúnez to shine at the highest level. We will learn how he went from successful European Tour player to golf coach and creating his very own golfing Academy.
